Updating Your Privacy Policy for A2P SMS Approval

To ensure your clinic can send text messages (for appointment reminders, missed call text-backs, and client communication), your website's Privacy Policy must meet specific legal standards required by mobile carriers in 2026.

If your Privacy Policy does not contain the specific "Non-Sharing" language below, your A2P Brand application will be rejected by the carriers.

1. The Mandatory "Non-Sharing" Clause

To meet compliance, you must add a specific section to your Privacy Policy. Copy and paste this exact block (heading and text) into your policy:

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

2. Requirements for All Clinics

Regardless of whether you have an existing policy or are creating a new one, the following items must be true:

  1. Information Match: All contact information (Phone and Email) in the Privacy Policy must match exactly what was submitted in your ClinicMonk A2P Brand Registration.
  2. Direct Link: Your Privacy Policy must be a dedicated page on your website (e.g., clinicname.com/privacy-policy   ).
  3. Footer Accessibility: A link to this page must be visible in the footer of every page on your website, including any landing pages or booking calendars.
  4. No Lead Selling: Your policy must never mention selling, trading, or renting "leads" or "contact lists" to third parties.

3. If You Don't Have a Privacy Policy Yet

If your clinic does not currently have a Privacy Policy, you must create one before we can submit your A2P registration.

You can use this Sample Privacy Policy Template as a starting point, but please be aware that this is a generic sample only and may not be sufficient for your specific legal or regulatory requirements.
